In this example, C-more logs an alarm due to an oven overtemp condition monitored by a PLC. The Event Manager then sends a preconfigured e-mail to three e-mail addresses; one in the plant, one to an Internet e-mail account, and one to an SMS enabled cell phone. This e-mail even contains current PLC tag data as well as date and time info.

For security purposes the plant network is not connected directly to the Internet. The SMTP mail gateway is the only network device connected to the Internet. AutomationDirect does not recommend connecting industrial control equipment to the Internet, and can not be held responsible for any consequences that may arise. E-mail is not a guaranteed method of communications, do not rely on e-mail for mission critical communications.

Built-in Web server

Pull up-to-the-second screen shots of any screen from an Ethernet connected PC or other internet enabled device.

FTP Capability

PULL screen captures and logged data from C-more to an Ethernet connected device, or PUSH the same info automatically from C-more to be stored on a PC or server for later reference (via the Event Manager).

Panel Pass Through

C-more can fetch and display data available to a separate C-more (on the same network) via the 'panel pass through' feature.
