Murrplastik MP10 series cable/hose drag chains and chain brackets have been added to our growing selection of wire and cable management products. Drag chains route cables/hoses to moving components and help to extend cable/hose life, provide protection for personnel, and reduce equipment downtime and repair costs. The MP10 series is built from rugged polyamide (PA) and is available in various widths with support for cables up to 8mm in diameter. MP10 series cable / hose drag chains feature open slots that allow cables and hoses to be added or replaced after installation. In addition, they can easily be extended or shortened by adding or removing chain links, are available with one, two, or three chambers to enable segregation of cables/hoses within the same chain, and have end brackets that provide secure mounting points.

BLOCK CT and USTE series open core control transformers provide a flexible solution for stepping down a wide range of voltages from 208 to 600 VAC.

The BLOCK CT series is made in the USA, offering a rugged design specifically engineered for isolation, lighting, or signaling systems. It is available with a 240/480 or 600 VAC primary and a 24 or 120 VAC secondary. Ratings range from 50 to 2500 VA, providing a cost-effective solution to guarantee uninterrupted power delivery in various applications. Fused versions are available.

The BLOCK USTE series provides a versatile solution for a wide range of input voltages, allowing OEMs and system integrators to save time and reduce costs by standardizing on a single model. Available in ratings from 40 to 3200 VA, they feature low inrush current, tool-free push-in wire terminals, and thirteen jumper selectable primary inputs from 208 to 600 VAC. In addition, the 12/24 VAC models comply with safety standards to ensure a safe power supply for SELV (Safety Extra Low Voltage) circuits.

Additional Murrplastik frames and grommets have been added to our current offering of cable entry systems. Cable entry frames used in conjunction with the required grommets provide easy cable installation through an enclosure and strain relief while maintaining environmental ratings. This expansion adds more frame sizes to our existing KDL/D and KDL/D-Mono series, a blank large BTG/XL grommet to the KDT/X series, and the new KDL/D-R and KDP/Z series which provide more solid- and split-frame options. The KDP/Z series features a built-in sealing membrane that does not require separate grommets to be purchased.

Our growing selection of wiring solutions has expanded to include WAGO splicing connectors. The 221 series LEVER-NUTS^® are equipped with WAGO's CAGE CLAMP^® spring technology, allowing quick and easy connection of all conductor types of different cross sections using two-, three-, and five-wire connectors without soldering or using tools. The 221 series connectors accommodate solid, stranded, and fine-stranded conductors in two variants from 12-24 AWG and 10-20 AWG. The 221 series inline splicing connector includes all the trusted advantages of the 221 series but in a slim design. The 2773 series' PUSHWIRE^® technology allows solid, stranded, ferruled, and fine-stranded conductors to be terminated by simply pushing them in, with no operating tool needed.

New WEG general-purpose CFW320 AC drives and full-featured SSW900 soft starters are now available. The CFW320 series VFDs offer all the features of the existing CFW300 plus provide support for 460 VAC operation and Ethernet communications. These drives support 230 VAC 3-phase motors up to 5 hp and 460 VAC motors up to 10 hp. Dynamic braking is built in on many models, so no external braking chopper is required. The optional Ethernet module communicates over EtherNet/IP and Modbus TCP networks.

The new SSW900 soft starters offer motor support up to 950A and a voltage range of 220-575 VAC. These soft starters feature an advanced setup with parameter help and event history on the included HMI. Software setup is optional using free WPS software and the same software is used for all WEG drives and soft starters. Ethernet communication is optional on the SSW900.

New Gladiator GPB1 and GPB2 series enclosed style terminal blocks provide a safe and reliable way to connect multiple electrical circuits to a single power source.

The GPB1 series terminal blocks are ultra-compact, offering time-saving multiple wire connection options for a variety of control panel applications. Push-in spring connections save installation time by locking the screwdriver into place for virtually hands-free wiring. GPB1 series terminal blocks are offered in ampere ratings up to 130 Amps and voltage ratings up to 1000 VAC / 1500 VDC (suitable for solar applications). Additional Zener barriers from STAHL have been added to isolate various control signal types from hazardous environments. For automated systems installed in potentially explosive atmospheres (ex., oil and gas production), extra precautions must be taken to ensure the electrical circuits do not become ignition sources. Properly grounded Zener barriers isolate the electrical signal from the hazardous area. New barriers are available to protect the following circuits: 4-20 mA/PNP sensor, NPN sensor/dry contacts, pulse trains (11 or 18 VDC), and strain gauges.

AutomationDirect announces the addition of configurable and programmable safety relays from Schmersal. Many safety systems require more than one specialty safety relay but don't justify the need for a safety controller. Schmersal PROTECT SRB-E configurable relays are easy to set up and reduce the number of safety relays required for a machine or system. Seven new sizes of PBC Linear guide tracks with slides are now available in lengths up to 2000mm. The guide tracks are ceramic coated 6061-T6 aluminum, paired with a self-lubricating slide. The slides have a proprietary, PTFE (FrelonGOLD^®) plain bearing bonded to the mating surface.

These guide tracks and slides are rated for static loads up to 8,200 N (1,843 lbf) and extreme temperatures from -400°F to 400°F (-240°C to 204°C). They offer smooth, quiet operation with inherent vibration damping and shock resistance, and the maintenance free bearing surfaces require no additional lubricant.

New roller pillow blocks have aluminum housings with sealed cam follower bearings (carbon steel) and offer linear travel speeds up to 7.6m/s (25ft/s). These industry-standard pillow blocks are designed for use with precision ground linear shafts such as the PBC Simplicity 60 Plus series (sold by AutomationDirect) and are available in single, double, and twin styles. Single styles are self-aligning and can be used on curved rails.

Southwire flexible metal conduit has joined our growing selection of electrical conduit and wiring solutions. Southwire's Alflex^™ type RWA (Reduced Wall Aluminum) and Galflex^™ type RWS (Reduced Wall Steel) conduits are built using a metal strip that is helically formed into a continuously interlocked flexible metal conduit which can withstand impact and crushing forces. Southwire's Alflex type RWA and Galflex type RWS are designed for use with connectors intended for NEC Type FMC (Flexible Metal Conduit) and are REACH/RoHS-2 compliant. Alflex type RWA is manufactured with a lightweight, high-strength aluminum alloy 66% lighter than steel and has superior corrosion resistance. Galflex type RWS is hot-dipped for a heavy zinc, rust/corrosion resistant coating.

ProSense FLG series detecting grids offer a cost-effective solution for object detection, featuring a simple setup with no programming required. They have no dead zone on the full detection height and are perfect for a variety of applications, such as material handling, counting, and warehousing.

The ProSense FLG series detection light grids with discrete complementary outputs provide object detection signals and are available with detection heights up to 1580mm. They offer 20 or 40mm beam resolution options, a 0.1 to 10m operating distance, and rugged aluminum housings with an IP67 protection rating.

New Penn-Union compression lugs provide a secure method of terminating electrical cables, especially high power or large diameter cables, to electrical equipment. Unlike mechanical lugs, that are screwed/clamped in place, these connectors are crimped onto the cable using the appropriate crimping tool for a permanent installation. These connectors are rated for use with copper conductors, have a beveled entry for easy cable insertion, and have color-coded barrels that are marked with die index numbers making inspections and certified installations much simpler. Penn-Union compression connectors are certified to be installed using commonly found tools and do so without loss of agency certification.

Also included are Penn-Union compression lug tools that feature a small head designed for use in confined spaces. The unique telescopic handle design (TDM) provides increased leverage when needed and the tools support 8 AWG up to 500 MCM wire/cable.

Four new series of Lika Electronic encoders are available, with unique features or applications. Linear measuring wheel encoders are also available.

A41 series models are compact (41mm diameter body) medium duty encoders with hollow or solid shafts. Resolutions from 100 to 3600 PPR are available.

A50 series units are medium duty encoders designed to withstand high temperature environments up to 100 C (212F) with ¼ inch or 3/8 inch hollow shafts, in resolutions from 360 up to 2048PPR.

A80 series medium duty encoders are designed to fit large AC motors, with a 30mm hollow shaft and 1024 PPR resolution. A selection of reducer bushings is available to accommodate metric or SAE shafts.

AQ5x series medium duty encoders have programmable resolution from 1 to 16,384 PPR. These encoders have a 58 mm or 59 mm body diameter and either a 3/8 inch solid shaft or a 15mm hollow shaft; reducer bushings are available.

Endress+Hauser Soliphant vibration rod level switches detect fine- or coarse-grained, non-fluidized bulk solids in silos, hoppers, and bins. Advantech Modbus gateways allow connections of multiple serial devices to an industrial Ethernet network for centralized machine communication management. Advantech Modbus gateways provide easy integration of Modbus TCP and Modbus RTU/ASCII networks and offer two 10/100 Mbps Ethernet ports for LAN redundancy. These gateways allow quick setup and easy troubleshooting with a simple-to-use web interface and provide up to four software selectable RS-232/422/485 ports. Configurations allow up to 16 peer connections under Modbus Client mode and up to 32 peer connections under Modbus Server mode on each serial port.

Teknokol Eco series HMI enclosures and suspension arm systems are designed to work together to provide customized arm systems using a selection of their components and cut-to-length arm profiles to best fit specific applications. The medium-duty TK060 series suspension arm system is designed for lighter loads and includes component options that allow custom configurations. The TK120 series offers the same design flexibility but is a heavy-duty option for heavier enclosures. The new Murrelektronik Premium EtherCAT IO-Link master module adds more communication options to our IO-Link product lineup. IO-Link masters provide standardized, point-to-point connections between smart devices and controllers. The new Murrelektronik master module adds EtherCAT capability to our IO-Link offering which also includes options for MQTT, OPC UA, and EtherNet/IP. Typical IO-Link systems consist of one IO-Link master (the interface between IO-Link and higher-level systems that also controls data traffic between the connected IO-Link devices) and at least one IO-Link device. Murrelektronik IO-Link hubs allow several sensors and actuators to be easily connected to an IO-Link master via a standard sensor cable. These hubs transmit standard field I/O signals, and several new models have been added, including more discrete I/O modules and modules that support analog/temperature inputs.

New high quality Helukabel unshielded "extra hard use" 600V SOOW and 300V SJOOW portable cord is now available. Portable cord (also called service cord) is a cable with multiple conductors used for electrical power connections that are not intended to be permanent. Applications for these cables often involve portable equipment such as power tools or temporary installations such as work site lighting. These cables have EPDM thermoset rubber conductor insulation material and a black CPE thermoset rubber jacket that provides excellent resistance to abrasion, hot surface contact, harsh conditions, and extreme temperatures.

AutomationDirect announces the addition of more high-performance ACCU-Torq motors from Nidec U.S. MOTORS. ACCU-Torq motors are inverter duty motors and are an excellent cost-effective solution for applications that require 100% torque down to zero speed. These motors are available in 230/460 VAC and are now offered in sizes up to 20 hp at 1800rpm and from ¼ to 10 hp at 1200rpm. Additionally, models with a preinstalled encoder are available in sizes from ¼ to 20 hp at 1800rpm. A separately purchased encoder retrofit kit, which includes an Avtron HS35A full-quadrature encoder, is also now available.

New Schneider Electric Easy TeSys series manual motor protectors, contactors, thermal overload relays, and accessories have been added to AutomationDirect's lineup of motor control products. Schneider Electric Easy TeSys series IEC manual motor protectors are compact, easy to use, and cover the functions of disconnect, controller, thermal overload relay, and branch circuit protection in a single device. They are pushbutton operated and available in ratings up to 32A. Easy TeSys series IEC magnetic contactors offer a compact design for easy installation, a 45mm frame width, and have a long life expectancy of up to one million electrical operations. AutomationDirect has added the powerful LS Electric XMC motion controller to provide full EtherCAT master motion control. With a blindingly fast processor (scan times as low as 5ns) and built-in support for 8 or 16 axes of EtherCAT-based motion control (depending on the model), the XMC controller can handle virtually any motion control application. These brick-style controllers feature 8 discrete inputs, 16 discrete outputs, 2 analog inputs, and 2 analog outputs. Utilize the new EtherCAT bus coupler with the diverse LS XGB PLC I/O modules to expand the XMC controller I/O capability.

The controllers also have two embedded quadrature encoder inputs to support full-closed-loop control. If further I/O expansion is required, the controllers support the addition of up to 32 racks of EtherCAT remote I/O (depending on the model).

XMC controllers utilize the powerful XG5000 software to configure and program all the control logic for advanced motion and basic PLC applications. New Schmersal 250 series heavy-duty limit switches feature rugged cast iron housings for the harshest environments. The selection includes models with side rotary levers with metal or plastic rollers, metal belt alignment rollers, and high-temperature models with metal rollers.
