Aluminum Worm Gearboxes (IEC Input)
Category Selection
Worm gearboxes (speed reducers) are mechanical power transmission components that utilize a worm pinion (or screw) that is coupled with a round toothed gear (or worm wheel). As a motor turns the worm pinion, its spirals will cause the worm wheel to turn and drive a load at a reduced ratio of the supplied motor speed. Worm gearboxes provide reliable speed reduction and increased torque with virtually no loss in horsepower.
These medium-duty aluminum worm gearboxes with IEC input faces are cost-effective options, where a heavy-duty gearbox isn't required. Designed specifically to mate with IEC frame motors with B5 and B14 input faces.

Aluminum worm gearboxes with IEC input faces are low-cost and lightweight with hollow-shaft outputs that extend all the way through from one side to the other. They feature a hardened worm shaft for increased durability and are ideal for medium-duty applications that have a less frequent run rate or can justify a shorter service life.
- 30mm to 75mm center distances (frame sizes)
- 10:1 to 100:1 ratios (in most sizes)
- IEC input face types: B5 & B14
(to fit IEC motor frame sizes: 63, 71, 80, and 90) - Hollow shaft output with single or double output shaft options (accessories)
- Two bearings on input and output shafts
- IEC motor input flanges
- All units filled with Mobil SHC634 synthetic oil
- No vent plug or breather needed; maintenance-free reducer
- Double lip oil seals prevent leakage
