DirectLOGIC (Micro to Small, Brick & Modular PLCs) - Motion & Specialty Modules
Category Selection
DirectLOGIC PLCs offer several specialty and high-speed I/O modules for applications that require more capability that what standard I/O modules provide.
- High-speed input/output modules can detect extremely fast input pulses, such as encoder signals, independent of the CPU scan, guaranteeing more accurate pulse tracking. They can also provide the pulses needed for precision control with stepper motors used in motion control applications.
- Input simulator modules are specifically designed to enable testing of PLC control logic by supplying manually changed input signals. They can also be used to supply ON/OFF commands that initiate specific functions in the PLC.
- CoProcessor modules are designed for use with intelligent devices such as bar code readers and serial printers.
- DL405 temperature controller modules monitor and control temperature from the same module.
- The memory cartridge module adds memory capacity to the DL05/06 PLC lines.

DL05 Series PLC Motion & Specialty Modules
The F0-CP128 BASIC / ASCII CoProcessor module interfaces the DL05 family of DirectLOGIC programmable controllers with bar code readers, operator interface terminals, instrumentation equipment, computers, and other serial devices.
- 100MHz BASIC CoProcessor provides fast program execution independent of the CPU scan
- Three buffered ports allow connection to two RS-232 devices and up to 32 RS-485 devices
The H0-CTRIO2 High-Speed Counter I/O module accepts high speed pulse-type input signals for counting or timing applications and provides high speed pulse-type output signals for stepper/servo motor control.
- 250kHz counter functionality
- Module has its own microprocessor and operates asynchronously from the PLC/controller
- All scaling and configuration is done via CTRIO Workbench, a Windows software utility program
The input simulator module provides 8 toggle switches to simulate input devices, ideal for testing or manually controlled operations.
The D0-01MC memory cartridge slides easily into the option card slot in any DL05 PLC to back up PLC programs and data for extended periods of time.
DL06 Series PLC Motion & Specialty Modules

DL205 Series PLC Motion & Specialty Modules
The F2-CP128 BASIC / ASCII CoProcessor module allows the DL205 PLC family to work with specialty devices including bar code scanners and serial printers and are good for applications requiring complex math calculations.
- 26MHz BASIC CoProcessor functions independent of the CPU scan
- Three buffered ports allow connection to two RS-232 devices and up to 32 RS-485 devices
The H2-CTRIO2 module offers great flexibility for applications that call for precise counting or timing, based on an input event or for high-speed control output applications.
- 250kHz counter functionality
- Module has its own microprocessor and operates asynchronously from the PLC/controller
- Ideal for applications with incremental encoders
- All scaling and configuration is done via CTRIO Workbench, a Windows software utility program
The D2-CTRINT module works with the CPU to provide high-speed control and program interrupts.
- Up to two built-in 5kHz high-speed counters with 24 presets each - when the preset is reached, an interrupt routine in the CPU is executed
- Quadrature encoder input for clockwise and counterclockwise position control
- Programmable pulse output with external interrupts and separate acceleration and deceleration profiles for positioning and velocity control

DL405 Series PLC Motion & Specialty Modules
The F4-CP128-1 BASIC / ASCII CoProcessor module offers a range of communication interfaces and baud rates for connecting DL405 PLCs to serial devices including printers, interface terminals, instrumentation equipment, and more.
- 26MHz BASIC CoProcessor functions independent of the CPU scan
- Three buffered ports allow connection to RS-232, RS-422, or RS-485 devices
The H4-CTRIO module works with field devices that send high-speed pulsed signals. It also provides high-speed pulse-type output signals for stepper/servo motor control.
- 100kHz maximum switching frequency
- Module has its own microprocessor and operates asynchronously from the PLC/controller
- Pulse and direction or cw/ccw pulses supported for pulse output control
- All scaling and configuration is done via CTRIO Workbench, a Windows software utility program
The F4-4LTC combines the functionality of four single-loop temperature controllers into one module. The module has four asynchronous, configurable PID loops, with built-in temperature inputs and control outputs.
- Temperature values range from -3276.7 to +3276.7 and are selectable for either degrees C or degrees F
- Accepts either thermocouple or RTD inputs and provides automatic tuning of the control loops in order to adapt to changing temperature and process conditions
