Diffuse photoelectric sensors with background suppression detect objects by sensing emitted light reflected directly from the target. They offer reliable detection while filtering out reflections from surrounding objects. Blue light models accurately sense dark, shiny, or highly reflective targets.

Diffuse photoelectric sensors with background suppression detect object presence by emitting a beam of light, typically from an LED, toward a target and sensing the reflected beam. These sensors work similarly to standard diffuse sensors but are designed to distinguish light from the intended target and to filter out reflections from background objects. They are effective in environments with reflective backgrounds but cost more than other photoelectric sensing technologies and require more setup time.

Wenglor distance sensors employ high-precision laser technology and background suppression to detect the presence of an object while avoiding false positives. These sensors operate consistently regardless of the object's material, color, or brightness.

Wenglor dark and shiny object detection photoelectric sensors detect presence of objects that other sensors fail to detect or erroneously detect multiple times because they are either very dark or shiny. These sensors use blue light, which is less likely to be absorbed by a dark object and is less likely to cause multiple reads or misdetections from shiny objects.
