BRX (Stackable Micro Brick) PLCs - Relay Outputs

For use with higher current control devices, PLC relay output modules function just as an electromechanical control relay would. An external source is supplied to the relay contacts on the module and the PLC CPU will control the opening or closing of these contacts based on the logic coded in the CPU. This way, the PLC controls the device by completing or breaking the control circuit. Since the PLC is only controlling the "coil" and not supplying the output voltage, higher current circuits can be controlled. BRX PLCs with built-in I/O provide up to 16 relay output points. If additional relay outputs are required or to add relay outputs to the M series (no I/O) CPU, several relay I/O expansion modules are offered.

• Relay output modules with 5, 8, 12, or 16 points, in a selection of Form A or Form C contacts
• Support 12-48 VDC, 100-125 VDC or 24-240 VAC circuits
• Ratings up to 8A per point for isolated circuits; up to 8A/common for multiple circuits on one common
• BX-08TRZ and BX-16TRZ relay output modules are designed to prevent leakage current which can inadvertently activate low-current devices
