Using the LS Electric XGB bus coupler and I/O modules, a variety of remote devices can be monitored and/or controlled using a single communications cable. Combine a bus coupler with up to 8 LS XGB I/O modules including high-density 32-point discrete modules, high-resolution analog modules, or high-speed counter modules, and link remote sensors, switches, pushbuttons, actuators, etc. to control-room HMIs, plant-floor PLCs, or any compatible control device.
The XGB bus couplers feature two 100/1000 Mbps RJ45 Ethernet ports and an internal relay function that allows for daisy-chaining multiple couplers without the need for additional Ethernet switches.

XGB bus couplers are ideal for systems where components are separated by large distances or where an extreme amount of I/O is needed. With these couplers, remote I/O can be located separately from the main controller and linked through EtherNet/IP, ModbusTCP, or EtherCAT communication (protocols supported dependent on model chosen).

XGB discrete DC I/O modules monitor ON/OFF signals or control devices that switch DC power (12 or 12-24 VDC), such as discrete sensors, solenoid valves, or lights. High-density input and output modules with up to 32 points and a combination input/output module are available.
The XGB AC I/O module monitors ON/OFF devices that operate with AC power (120 VAC), such as sensors, pilot devices, and motor contactors.
Newest Additions!
XGB relay modules can operate DC or AC rated devices (125 VDC / 250 VAC). Modules are available with up to 16 Form A (normally open) relay contacts.
A combination discrete/relay I/O module is also available.

XGB analog I/O modules monitor or supply the signals needed for precise control of a process, such as level or pressure, in ranges including 0-20 mA, 4-20 mA, and 0-10 VDC.
Specialty analog modules provide dependable readings for temperature monitoring, and weighing applications.
XGB motion and specialty modules perform advanced functions that are out of the realm of standard I/O.
Connections for the 32-point expansion modules are made using specially designed Smart Link terminal blocks and connection cables. These cables and connectors provide readily accessible terminals for field I/O signals, organized wireways, and easily traceable I/O connections.
Accessories for the XGB field I/O system include a variety of replacement terminal blocks. XG5000 software provides convenient hardware configuration and addressing tools to complete the XGB field I/O setup. Software can be downloaded for free or purchased on a USB drive.
