Non-contact magnetic safety switches are used to monitor opening/closing of machine guards, doors or other machinery. These reliable magnetic reed switches will tolerate some misalignment; physical contact is not required between the switch and actuator.

Magnetic Non-contact Safety Switches
Category Selection
Magnetic safety switches allow a machine to operate if the magnetic field produced by the actuator is in close enough proximity to the magnetic reed switch. Once the actuator moves out of range, the switch will change its state from closed to open and disable the machinery that the door, gate, guard, etc. is protecting.
- Conform to IEC 60947-5-3 and be used as directed by EN1088, EN ISO12100 and EN 60204-1
- Available with plastic or stainless steel housings
- Up to ten magnetic switches can be connected in series
- Will operate with most safety relays

IDEM MPR/MMR series switches are a cost-effective interlock solution whose Miniture (36 x 26mm) design makes them ideal for small guard applications.
