Filter fans work together with grilles to displace hot air inside an enclosure with cooler filtered outside air. Filter fans are available in various voltage ratings, airflow options and NEMA ratings. Matching grilles and various filter media options are also available.

Enclosure Filter Fans
Category Selection
With a filter fan, the interior temperature of an enclosure is reduced by channeling cooler filtered outside air into the enclosure, expelling heated internal air. The resulting air flow prevents formation of localized heat pockets and protects electronic components from overheating. Purchase required grille separately.

Filter Fan Plus
Filter Fan Plus products from Stego feature a secure ratchet mounting system for better stability and tightness. Ratchet mechanism prevents enclosure wall deformity when mounting and creates a uniform seal.
Combine a Filter Fan Plus fan with a matching grille, featuring air flap technology, to create an FPI (airflow in) or FPO (airflow out) system with higher airflow than a normal filter fan while still preventing the ingress of contaminants.

Stego Filter Fans
Stego intake filter fans are perfect for basic enclosure cooling where ambient air is drawn into the enclosure and provides adequate cooling for the components inside.
- Outdoor models: IP55, VDE, EAC, UL Type 12 when using the supplied M5 filter mat
- Indoor models: IP54, VDE, EAC, UL type 12 when using supplied filter
- Top mount models: IP32 (all), VDE (230V only)
- IP55 protection type is achieved due to the special design of the hood and the use of fine filter mats
- No-screw installation on indoor models (optional mounting screws for additional support)

- AC and DC voltage powered models available
- Airflow direction easily switched by reversing the axial fan (except on models 018040-01 and 018050-01)

Fandis Filter Fans
Fandis Virdis series filter fans provide a low-cost thermal management solution in applications where the surrounding air temperature is low enough to be used to cool the inside of an enclosure.
NEMA 12 filter fans are for indoor use only and are typically mounted on the side or the door of an enclosure.
NEMA 3R filter fans are specifically designed to preserve the integrity of components housed within an electrical enclosure located outdoors and are constructed to ensure greater resistance to degradation due to environmental factors.
