SR55 soft starters are fully digital, and use thyristors in all three motor phases for controlled reduced voltage motor starting and stopping. SR55 series starters have an Automatic Application Setup that fully configures the starter for a specific application with one entry. And the SR55 series has built-in internal bypass relays and patented iERS (intelligent Energy Recovery System) that reduces energy costs when used on lightly loaded and oversized motors.

Basic Soft Starters Suitable For Most Applications

The Stellar SR35 series is an ideal substitute for a Star/Delta starter that provides easy setup and configuration through the built-in menu as well as the ability to store and load to/from a USB drive for quick duplication of parameters. Automatic application configuration is supported to reduce configuration time but custom configuration is also supported. The SR35 soft starters use thyristors on two of the main phases for controlled reduced voltage motor starting and stopping, then switch to internal bypass contacts for efficient running at rated speed.

The SR35 series offers many optional accessories to improve upon this already versatile soft starter such as increasing the supported starts per hour from 5 to 40 by adding an optional fan or expanding upon the built-in I/O by adding the optional auxiliary I/O module.

Simple, Compact 3-Phase Soft Starters

The Stellar SR22 series is a low-cost family perfect for use in applications where space is a concern. The SR22 soft starters use thyristors for controlled reduced voltage motor starting and stopping, then switch to internal bypass contacts for efficient running at rated speed. 3-potentiometer setup (Start Voltage, Start Time, and Stop Time) make installation and commissioning easy.

SSW900 Series, 10A - 950A

Combining convenience and innovation, the WEG SSW900 series is the right choice for complete motor protection and start/stop control. WEG SSW05 Series, 10A - 85A

The WEG SSW05 series compact, fully digital soft starters with a state-of-the-art DSP (Digital Signal Processor) controller. Simple set-up and operation are assured since all parameters and set-up selections are made via DIP switches and potentiometers. Status LEDs alert the user of the operational status of the SSW05. Simplicity, ease of set-up, and the small panel assure quick and easy installation and operation. The SSW05 can fit into the same space as many across the line motor starters and can control motors with an FLA from 10 to 85 amps.
