LS Electric L7P servo systems combine a high-performance servo motor with a servo amplifier (drive) to achieve accurate position, velocity, or torque control. Three-phase systems to 7.5kW and single-phase operation up to 2.2kW offer automatic tuning, a built-in indexer and an absolute encoder. Select system size based on power/torque requirements. Add power and feedback cables plus an I/O breakout module for a complete system.

LS Electric L7P intermediate servo systems provide the same great features as the L7C basic series, but with more motor and input power options to meet a wider range of applications.

Internal Indexer for position/speed-based moves:
- 64 individual move statements can be configured
- Each move includes distance, speed, accel, decel, registration, and dwell parameters
- Set up through free downloadable Drive CM software or via serial comms (PLC, HMI, w/ Modbus via RS485 or RS422)
- The move can be initiated via digital inputs or through serial comms
- Index profiles include relative or absolute moves, registration, blended moves, and positive/negative/shortest distance rotary table moves.

Why Use a Servo?
Servo systems provide the highest possible level of performance for precise control of position, velocity, and torque. Compared to lower cost stepping systems, servo systems provide:
- More torque at higher speeds (up to 5,000 rpm)
- Higher response with closed-loop control (high hit rate without stalling or lost position)

CN1 I/O Components
These accessories are required for interface to the on-board drive I/O (via the CN1 connector):
- The 50-pin DIN-rail mount terminal block interfaces to all the drive I/O signals
- Choose from 3 cable lengths to locate the DIN-rail mount version
- A 50-pin to pigtail cable is also available to interface the I/O signals.
Accessories
Optional accessories for LS Electric L7P servo systems include braking resistors, EMI input filters, and a set of pre-matched gearboxes for easy mounting to the appropriate servo motor.
Use the gearboxes to increase the available torque or to solve inertia mismatch problems.
The free downloadable Drive CM software enables programming, backup, and troubleshooting options. Link to software can be found on any of the drive component item pages.
Servo Connector Components
Connector components for LS Electric L7P servo systems can be used to create custom cables for encoder feedback, and the I/O connection. For the most reliable results, utilize the factory-made cables wherever possible. A replacement power connector for the drive is also available.
