Cable Glands
Cable glands provide protected cable entry into enclosures or electrical equipment, secure cables or wires, and maintain enclosure sealing requirements. Plastic, EMC and hygienic/sanitary styles are available in NPT, Metric, and PG thread standards.

Cable Glands
A cable gland (cable fitting) is a cable entry device that attaches to and secures a cable to electrical equipment allowing the cable or wire to enter an enclosure while sealing out dust, dirt and liquids and providing strain relief. Cable glands are used as a sealing and termination device to ensure that the characteristics of the enclosure which the cable enters can be maintained adequately.
Three thread standards are available:
- National Pipe Thread Standard (NPT)
- PG Thread Standard (PG)
- Metric Thread Standard (M)

National Pipe Thread (NPT) Cable Glands
- Multiple thread sizes: ?", ½", ¾", 1", 1 ¼" 1 ½", 2" NPT
- Clamping ranges: 3mm to 44mm (depending on thread sizes)
- Low-cost plastic cable glands are available in light gray and black body colors
- Brass cable glands provide added strength and greater clamping range
- Hygienic stainless-steel glands have a smooth finish with no threads exposed to prevent buildup of contaminants; ideal for use in food, beverage, pharmaceutical, and any industry requiring cleanroom technology
- EMC cable glands maintain shielded cable integrity allowing entry without compromising the cable shield's protection from electromagnetic interference
- Cable glands that combine the features of both EMC and hygienic versions are also available
- IP68 water and dustproof
PG Thread Cable Glands
- 10 thread sizes - PG7 through PG48
- Clamping ranges: 3mm to 44mm (depending on thread sizes)
- Low-cost plastic cable glands are available in light gray and black body colors
- Brass cable glands provide added strength and greater clamping range
- EMC cable glands maintain shielded cable integrity allowing entry without compromising the cable shield's protection from electromagnetic interference
- IP68 water and dustproof
Metric Thread Cable Glands
- Multiple thread sizes: M12 x 1.5 mm through M63 x 1.5 mm
- Clamping ranges: 3mm to 53mm (depending on thread sizes)
- Low-cost plastic cable glands are available in light gray and black body colors
- Brass cable glands provide added strength and greater clamping range
- Hygienic stainless-steel glands have a smooth finish with no threads exposed to prevent buildup of contaminants; ideal for use in food, beverage, pharmaceutical, and any industry requiring cleanroom technology
- EMC cable glands maintain shielded cable integrity allowing entry without compromising the cable shield's protection from electromagnetic interference
- Cable glands that combine the features of both EMC and hygienic versions are also available
- IP68 water and dust proof
