Category Selection
An electro-mechanical relay uses a magnetic coil and a moveable switch to open/close the circuit wired to the output contacts of the relay. The low-power input of the relay will magnetize the coil, and the electromagnetic force will force the switch to change state, either opening or closing the higher-power connection on the output side.
