AutomationDirect has expanded its photoelectric sensor offering to include OPT series short and long range distance sensors. Available with either Class 1 or Class 2 laser options, the distance sensors are constructed with rectangular plastic housings and fitted with an M12 quick-disconnect.
Welcome to Kickstart where you get to see new products here at AutomationDirect. Today I am going to show you our new Laser distance measuring sensors from the brand Wenglor. We are now offering two styles in Short Range with high precision and in Long range versions. The Short Range High precision OPT families are OPT2001 to OPT2007 have a total of 7 new part numbers. They have analog and switch outputs with ranges from 30millimeter to 660millimeter, and resolution down to 8 micrometers (to put this into perspective -- a business card thickness is 305 micrometers and a hair is 17micrometers)These will read down to 8. The 2007 models are a low cost selection with switching outputs only and come in only a class one laser. Now the OPT Short Range High Precision sensors have speeds up to 1500 scans per second. They come in Class 1 and class 2 laser options. Now here we have the new long range distance measurement sensors in the OPT2010 to OPT2015 families with distances of 3meters up to 10meters. We also have a low cost model 2010 with switching outputs only and come in only a class 1 laser. The 2011 to 2014 models come in Class 1 and class 2 laser options. The 2015 model is a retro reflective with ranges up to 100mm and does require the use of a reflector. It offers a normally open or normally closed output with PNP or NPN. The sensors that support analog output are selectable for 4-20ma or 0-10vdc configuration. There are some new Accessories to go along with these new Laser Distance Measurement sensors like: mounting brackets and reflectors for the retro reflective styles. All of these Laser distance measurement sensors require quick disconnect cables, so don't forget to pick up one of these (hold up cable). You can find the agency approvals and specs for these new Wenglor Laser Distance Measurement sensors on our website at: www.automationdirect.com Don't forget: we sell other styles of sensors like level sensors, ultrasonic sensors, capacitive, inductive, photo sensors and all of the cables and accessories to go with them. Check back with us often on AutomationDirects websites or on Youtube.com/Automationdirect for more Kickstart videos.
