How To: Update Firmware for Stride SE2 Managed Ethernet Switch from AutomationDirect

First you will need to download the firmware files for your Stride SE2 managed switch the switch from the automation direct website. So navigate to the Automation direct website and at the top of the page you will see a blue bar, now, hover over, where it says downloads and then Select Firmware. At this page select Download firmware binaries. Now, scroll down until you see the Stride SE2 Managed switches and the select the file that works for your specific switch. When you select the appropriate link this will download a zip file to your PC. You will need to extract this zip to obtain the files that will be needed for further in this process Now that you have the correct file Connect to the switch by typing in the Ip address of the switch into your web browser. You will now be asked to enter the User name and password for the switch. From the navigation pane on the left, expand the Device Management Menu and then select the Firmware update option. Now, select thechoose file button. Now navigate to the bin file that we downloaded and extracted from the zip, previously, then select it. Now you will see your file name here. Select update Upload progress will be seen here. Now you will see a message requiring a reboot of the switch. This can be done by selecting the reboot option under the device management menu. And then clicking on the reboot button.
