Software and Firmware upgrades on the C-More Micro Panel are always free, so make sure your panels are kept up to date with the latest firmware. Here’s how … To get the latest firmware, you will need to download the most recent version of the C-More Micro software. Go to Support.AutomationDirect.com and click on Free Software Upgrades and Tools link. Before we do that, note that EVERYTHING you could ever want to know about Automation Directs products can be found at this support.automationdirect.com site. Lets click on the Free Software Upgrades and Tools link, then on the C-More Micro Graphic Panel software link – from here you can download and install the software. Once the programming software is installed, Go to the Panel Menu, and select Update Firmware. You will get a dialog reminding you to place the panel in setup screen mode by pressing F1 and F5 at the same time for 3 seconds. If that doesn’t work, check to the video on how to enable setup mode. I’ve done that here, we’ll click OK, and we get this dialog. If you have the most up-to-date C-More Micro software, then the firmware shown here will always be the most recent version, so make sure you always have the most recent software!. It is IMPORTANT that you backup any project currently on the panel as it will be totally erased during this operation. They are reminding you of that right here. Select the comport that your download cable is plugged into. If you are not sure, click on DETAIL – this will list all of the com ports and what they are being used for right now. Let’s see, the Prolific USB to Serial is ours, that’s Com 4, so we are good to go. When you are ready, click on OK It’ll take a few seconds to get started, and once it does the bar will work its way across the screen, to tell you how much time you have left. The screen on you C-More Micro will indicate that a data transfer is in progress during the download to remind you not to change anything while it is going on. When done, you will get a transfer complete message like this. Click on OK and you are ready to go. That’s all there is for this video – be sure to check out the other videos in this series. And as always, please send us any topics you would like to see covered – or - any other comments for that matter – we appreciate the feedback
