So, when the Pocket Portal is connected, your data will be streamed up to the Cloud so that you can access it, from any internet connection. The Pocket Portal has on-board analog inputs, that you can use along with the Modbus RTU RS-485 connection to pull data from your remote devices. Now, the Pocket Portal is not just a data logger, you will be able to control the outputs and write to the Modbus device, directly from the Web App. This solution does require a local wireless access point with internet connection and requires a monthly Data Subscription. Data Subscriptions start at only $8 a month. Provisioning your Pocket Portal to the Web App is made easy using the smartphone app, these apps are available for both Android and iOS platforms. Once your Pocket Portal is provisioned, you can then use the Web App to manage your device and account. From this Web App you can view and edit live or historical data and also export that data to other platforms. These exports can also be done automatically over email. You can create notifications and alarms that can inform users of important alerts.
