Learn how to how to setup, configure and get the most out of your UHZ Series Ultrasonic Sensor.
The through beam ultrasonic sensors only do detection, they don't measure distance. You just put the transmitter on one side and receiver on the other when the object breaks the beam the discrete output will be active. These aren't configurable you just buy one of the four choices. You normally open normally closed PMP and PM; they all operate over a 300 millimeter range or about 12 inches. These through beam sensors don't have to be perfectly aligned in fact they can be up to 15 degrees off-axis and still perform just fine. These ultrasonic sensors have a one millisecond response time. They can output up to half an amp of current and they have a switching frequency of 150 Hertz. They have a 2 meter cable and are sealed to IP67. Which means they're dust tight and can be immersed in 1 meter of water for up to 30 minutes. Check out the how-to videos that show you step-by-step, how to connect ultrasonic sensors to a PLC and how to program that PLC to use them.
