This automated trophy was created for the 2013 FIRST Robotics Ultimate Ascent FRC game. The trophy features NITRA Pneumatic cylinders, gauges coiled tuning and manual pneumatic valve to create a memorable trophy for the 2013 Georgia FIRST Robotics off season GRITS event.

AutomationDirect is pleased to be providing the trophies for this year's GRITS competition. GRITS is a one-day event produced by Georgia FIRST Robotics and is taking place at the World Congress Center in Atlanta, Georgia on October 5th. The two trophy designs grow to almost twice their starting height at the flip of a pneumatic hand valve. The cylinder's regulators, valves and fittings used to animate the trophies are all part of the NITRA line of pneumatics offered by AutomationDirect while the two dial gauges are from our ProSense family of process control and measurement devices. The trophies even have an onboard air tank and can operate 10 to 15 times before being refilled with air. The trophies display the same frisbee game element that was used by the robotics teams in this year's ultimate ascent competition. Trophies will be awarded to the competition winners, an alliance of three robotics teams, as well as team awards for spirit, outreach and cooperation.
