This instruction is used to place the PLC into Stop mode. Once the PLC has been placed in stop mode there is not a way to revert back to Run mode from ladder code. This will require manual intervention. The use of this instruction should be used with serious cation, and closely evaluate the safety concerns that are associated with placing the PLc in stop mode in this fashion. This instruction is used to deal with a critical exception where continued execution of the program may be more dangerous than completely shutting down the PLC. This instruction is the equivalent of an Emergency STOP for the PLC itself.
