When entering numeric data, the default is to have the user clear the old data before entering the new data. Otherwise, If we just start typing, it appends numbers, it doesn’t over wright them. This is fine if the user only has to update one digit in a long sequence, but sometimes it would be easier if the Panel cleared the box for you. To change that behavior, just go to the panel manager - either in the Navigation Windows Function window: Panel Manager, or in the Setup Menu: Panel Manager - just click right here to have the panel automatically clear that entry for you. Let’s try it. Simulate, Save the project. So now when we go to enter data, that value is already cleared for us and we can just start typing. We’ll, that’s all there is to automatically clearing the numeric entry field – be sure to check out the other videos in this series.
