Designed to save space, a single Protos X system can save users up to 74% in I/O footprint inside an enclosure when compared to other I/O systems. The small form factor allows installation directly on or near equipment and connects directly to an EtherNet/IP Scanner that supports Implicit I/O Messaging. Allowing precise I/O count distribution, Protos X supports up to 64 modules per a single assembly or up to 255 using the bus expansion modules.
Starting at $34, Protos X I/O terminals (I/O modules), in two, four, eight and 16-point (discrete only) versions, are the connection to real world devices and offer 12 discrete input and output terminals 18 analog input and output terminals include 4-20 mA, +/-10VDC, Pt100 RTD, as well as Type J and K thermocouples.
Power feed terminals are available in 24VDC and 120-230 VAC styles to add or change supply power to the terminal power bus an available 24VDC power distribution terminal with 8 connection points (24V and 0V for each connection) provides access to the integrated 24VDC terminal power bus.
Easy-to-use configuration software available, as a free download, shows the auto-configured EtherNet/IP addressing, sets IP Ethernet address and communications parameters.

We are further expanding the Protos X Field I/O system to include Ethernet IP as a communication option. With the addition of the Ethernet IP Bus coupler this Field I/O system, can be controlled Implicit I/O messaging. The Protos X is compact and is designed for applications where a typical PLC will not be an option. A single assembly consists of a Bus coupler the I/O Terminal modules and Bus End Terminal. This single configuration can range from as small as 1 terminal module or as large as 64 Terminal modules, and when using the Bus Expansion modules, this will network multiple assemblies together that can expand up to 255 terminals Modules. The I/O terminals modules offer 12 discrete input and output options; and 18 analog input and output options, which are available in 4 to 20, plus or minus 10, RTD, and in Type J and K thermocouple. To make your configuration easier, please see the Protos X Selector tool. This tool will help you build and verify your configuration, with options to email your configuration or add your configuration directly to your cart. Make sure to purchase the USB Programming cable to configure your system. With this cable and the configuration software, which is free to download from our site, you can quickly set up bus coupler for use with your Implicit Ethernet I/P SCanner.
