These new GAM helical racks and pinions, along with our broad gearbox offering, provide a complete linear solution. Rack and pinion systems are a type of linear actuator consisting of a rotating pinion that drives a linear rack, converting rotary motion to linear motion. High-precision helical racks provide smooth, quiet operation. Multiple rack sections can be installed to get the length needed for your application. Racks are available in various module pitches and number of teeth per section. The helical pinions can be mounted to the output shaft of our SureGear stepper or servo gearboxes, and also work with other popular brands. They are hardened to work with ISO 10 hardened racks. Keyed shaft, bolt-through and set screw style models are available in various pitches and number of teeth. Components with module pitches of 1.5, 2.0 and 3.0 are available.
