The H0-CTRIO(2) High-Speed Counter I/O modules are designed to accept high speed pulse-type input signals for counting or timing applications and to provide high speed pulse-type output signals for stepper/servo motor control, monitoring, alarm or other discrete control functions.
Designed for all DirectLOGIC DL05 or DL06 PLCs, the H0-CTRIO2 module offers great flexibility for applications requiring precise counting or timing, based on an input event or high-speed control output. THe H0-CTRIO2 is designed to work with incremental encoders or other field devices that send pulse outputs. The module features four 9-30 VDC sinking/sourcing inputs and two isolated sinking/sourcing DC outputs. Supported inputs include one quadrature encoder counter up to 250 KHz or two single-channel counters up to 250 KHz supported outputs include two independently configurable high-speed discrete outputs or one channel pulse output control. Welcome to Kickstart where you get to see new products here at AutomationDirect. Today I am going to show you our new high speed counter modules for our DL05 and DL06 products as well as the 205 counter module that works with the DirectLogic and Do More CPUs. These new H0-CTRIO2 and H2-CTRIO2 modules were designed and built by our friends at HOST engineering. This new CTRIO2 counter module does everything the older CTRIO module does and more. For instance... It has faster input and output rates at 250kHz each vs. 100kHz in and 25kHz out on the original CTRIO module. There are now three additional profiles, offering closed-loop control like: Dynamic Position Plus, Trapezoid Plus and Trapezoid with Limits. When this new CTRIO2 module is used with Do-more CPU, the H2-CTRIO2 supports Axis Mode. The new H2-CTRIO2 requires less backplane current, allowing for potentially more modules in a base. The H2-CTRIO2 module was launched in 2012 but with only support with the Do-More PLC. It is now supported by the 240, 250, 250-1, 260 and WinPLC CPU modules, all in our 205 hardware.
