Non-contact magnetic locking RFID safety switches monitor / lock machine guards, doors, windows, or other machinery. These models combine both magnetic locking and RFID technology to provide tamper-proof protection using uniquely coded actuators. Contact is not required between switch and actuator.

Magnetic locking RFID safety switches provide a means of locking machine guards, doors, gates, etc. and also monitor these safety barriers, disabling the guarded machinery when it is being accessed. Using RFID technology, these coded switches provide high anti-tamper protection to ensure the safety mechanism cannot be bypassed. The embedded electromagnet provides different levels of locking force and only when the proper actuator is in the correct position will the lock be achieved and the safety outputs closed.

Uniquely coded magnetic locking RFID safety switches have a factory-set code that cannot be defeated with a different actuator and are used where additional tamper resistance is desired.
Master-coded magnetic locking RFID safety switches are coded by series so any actuator will operate any switch. This allows spare actuators to be used when needed and when additional tamper resistance isn't required.
Reteachable magnetic locking RFID safety switches work similarly to uniquely coded models but offer the ability to reteach the switch to accept a new actuator. These models have a factory-set code that cannot be defeated with a different actuator unless the switch gets retaught for the new actuator.
Magnetic locking RFID actuators are the components mounted opposite the switching element that the switch locks to and uses to detect a closed or open position.
