Pneumatic Actuators and Pneumatic Grippers
Category Selection
NITRA® Pneumatic Rotary Actuators feature robust double rack and pinion construction and an a djustable 0-190 degree rotation angle. The compact design is ideal for general material handling and other industrial applications such as conveying, clamping, transferring parts, positioning, and controlling valves.
NITRA Pneumatic Grippers are pneumatic actuators with jaws (or fingers) to grip objects. Compressed air pneumatic grippers have the ability to pick up, hold and release objects. Two jaw parallel and two jaw angle grippers are available from AutomationDirect. Parallel grippers open and close parallel to the object and angle (or angular) grippers open wider than parallel jaws requiring more space. Pneumatic grippers are used in a broad range of general automation processes such as pick & place, material transfer, clamping and indexing.

Pneumatic Actuators - Rotary
NITRA Pneumatics rotary actuators are an excellent choice for many automation applications. Available in four body sizes with or without shock absorbers. All are double acting and have an adjustable travel range from zero to 190 degrees. Anodized aluminum bodies include integral mounting slots for position switches. A durable ball bearing hub, integrated piston magnets, and switch tracks are all standard.

The grippers are available in seven different body sizes and are either double acting, single acting normally closed or single acting normally open. Anodized aluminum bodies include integral mounting slots for position switches.
